Can the Uncircumcised be Saved?
May 8, 2022 Speaker: Pastor James Wychers Series: The Rise and Witness of the Church
Topic: Salvation Passage: Acts 15:1–15:35
The gospel of grace in Jesus is the means by which people are saved and become part of the family of God.
This is really at the center of the book of Acts. Structurally, it’s in the very center. We just passed out of chapter fourteen. It’s really at the center of theology of the New Testament and of salvation. Without this decision the mission of the gospel stops dead. The world is a very different place if they decide differently on this question.
We’ll consider what we call the Jerusalem Council to see their dissention and their disagreement and we’ll follow the discussion and debate that they have on that. We’ll celebrate the decision. And we’ll see how that message went forth to the joy of the gentile churches
We’ll celebrate, ultimately, the grace of God and the grace of Jesus Christ and the gospel.
