We Must Obey God Rather Than Men

Today in our passage, we are reminded that the gospel of Jesus Christ and the biblically faithful Christian church always incur opposition. Genuine believers take their primary stand on loyalty to Jesus Christ and to his Word. Jesus truly is the center of all that we are as Christians. He must be at the center. That’s what it means to be a Christian. My hope is that the heart level transformation that we see in the early church might strengthen our loyalty to Jesus. To engage those in the world around us in the world fruitfully and faithfully to the good and glory to God.
