Fighting the Spiritual Battle Today

This morning, we're going to do more biblical theology, which is looking at many different texts and how they help us understand what we're talking about, and that's fighting the spiritual battle. I'm going to ask questions and answer questions. This whole area of spiritual warfare brings about a lot of questions.

There are errors all over how we think about this thing, and what we want to do, and what we're trying to do is approach spiritual warfare rightly. We've worked through Ephesians 6:10-12 now.

We've seen the reality of spiritual warfare. We've seen the armor that God has given for us to fight effectively. We presently live in a world of darkness, a kingdom ruled by spiritual powers, but thankfully Christians are not beholden to this Kingdom because we live as citizens of another kingdom—the kingdom of Jesus Christ as it exists on the earth, as well

So we live in the world but we are not beholden to the things of the world. The reality is that we are in a fight whether we know it or not We are called to engage in the fight and we have the proper resources to do so.

And today we want to dig more deeply and look more broadly at what the Bible says about what it looks like. What does proper engagement look like? What is it? How does the enemy work?
