Would You Persuade Me to be a Christian?
Speaker: Pastor James Wychers Series: The Rise and Witness of the Church Topic: The Early Church Scripture: Acts 26:24–32
Today we will see that in his defense, Paul is interrupted by an outburst from the governor.
From there Paul went into full evangelism mode. He became the interrogator. He began to be the one who was asking questions.
Our point this morning is this: the eternal riches of the gospel of Christ eclipse the wealth of the world. Paul the prisoner was richer than all those who were gathered before him.
The claim that following Jesus is crazy is countered in our text with the claim that doing so is actually rational. It is actually reasonable.
We will test this counterclaim today and consider if the riches of Christ really do eclipse the wealth of the world, is it really that way?
Do we believe this? Do we live as though it is true?
Are Christians crazy?
Or not?
