No Food Till We have Killed Paul _web

We are all more and more being forced to take a stand in the culture. Culture wars are raging and they affect a biblical worldview and how we think about life.

Largely we have been able to hide from those questions. In the future, we will no longer be able to hide. The stand may be forced by your company that you work for or the school you are part of. It could be by the government or your family

You are forced to stand one way or another.

Every week we come here and make a stand but out there in the world, many of us will be forced to make a stand.

When the time comes, the question is: where will we stand?

Gospel mission and human opposition always run together like train tracks.

The human will to destroy cannot overcome in the slightest, the divine will to do good.

Paul’s life was anything but peaceful and safe. Yet, he was at the very center and will of the mission of God.

Our passage will remind us of the realities of what it means to follow Jesus.

The call of Jesus is not a call to the comfort and security given by the world. Opposition to the message of Jesus has been a persistent fact for 2000 years. Along with the sovereign power and grace of God in the lives of his people.
