Hometown Unbelief

Passage: Matthew 13:53–13:58

Hometown Unbelief-min

 Hometown Unbelief
Matthew 13:53-58

In the first chapter of John's Gospel, the apostle writes that Jesus was in the world and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him. He came to his own and his own received him not.

What tragic words those are. Today we come to a passage that perfectly illustrates the point that John makes. Jesus returns to his hometown of Nazareth but the people do not receive him. They reject him as Messiah. We are going to see the mistake that the people of Nazareth made.

May we not repeat it.
