This Sunday at CrossView Church
Life can be complicated. We all face challenges that make us question why difficult things happen in our world. This Sunday, Pastor James Wychers will explore the tension between evil and God's goodness through the powerful story of Joseph and his brothers in Genesis 50:15-26.
How do we reconcile the painful experiences in our lives with a God who loves us? What can we learn from Joseph's perspective on suffering and forgiveness?

Memorial Day
This Monday we pause to remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. As we reflect on their courage and selfless devotion, may we honor their memory through lives of gratitude and service to others. 
Bible Memorization
We are focusing on memorizing key Bible verses corresponding to Pastor James’ sermon series “The Unfolding Gospel.” Memorizing Scripture is an excellent discipline for spiritual growth that allows us to focus our minds on God’s Word and so enrich our spiritual lives. This month we will be memorizing Genesis 15:4-6.
Bread Of Life Share Center Food Pantry
Friday, May 23 ~ 4:30-5:00 p.m.
CVC's Bread of Life Drive-Thru Food Pantry provides nutritious food to our neighbors in need of assistance.
The Food Pantry is open on the 2nd Saturdays of the month (9:00-11:00 a.m.) and the 4th Fridays of the month (4:30-6:00 p.m.)

4TH ANNUAL MEN’S SUMMER GATHERING
Tuesdays ~ June 10, 17, & 24
Men of CrossView, mark your calendar and prayerfully consider attending this 3-week study led by Pastors James and Mike. Join us as we wrestle with how our hearts deceive us and how Jesus rescues us from that deception. In our discussions, we will foster practical habits to follow Jesus. Sign up at the Welcome Center in the foyer or speak with Pastor James or Pastor Mike.
BIBLE CAMP UPDATE
With many factors contributing to this decision, we are sorry to announce CrossView Church will NOT be hosting Stand Firm Bible Camp this summer. If desired, you may inquire at Chain of Lakes Church in Lake Villa (chainoflakescommunity.church/events) and Living Waters Church in Grayslake (livingwatersag.org) about their Bible/Sports Camps coming up in June.

Attention All CVC Women!
Do you know how to play pickleball or perhaps you would like to learn? Come and join the fun and fellowship this summer!
Terry Sunday will be leading these gatherings on the first Thursday of June, July, and August (June 5, July 3, Aug. 7) 6-9 p.m.
