Every parent wonders about their child's future. Every friend ponders the path ahead for someone they love. But what happens when God breaks the silence to announce a child who will change everything?
When the angel appeared to Zechariah, he didn't just promise a son—he painted a picture of purpose, of calling, of a life that would prepare the way for the Savior. What does it mean when God's hand is clearly on a life from the very beginning? And how do we recognize and respond to the extraordinary purposes woven into ordinary lives?
Gather with us this Sunday as we reflect on these questions in our sermon, "What Then Will This Child Be?"

The CVC Bread of Life Share Center Food Pantry is grateful to Faith Acres Foundation and Northern Illinois Food Bank for gathering and providing the food for us to share.
The Food Pantry is typically open on the 2nd Saturdays of the month (9:00-11:00 a.m.) and the 4th Fridays of the month (4:30-6:00 p.m.).
Please note: because of the holidays in December, some dates have changed.

ADVENT
As Christmas approaches, we will focus on Jesus’ birth story and the saving gospel during our services. To help prepare our hearts to worship him, starting next Sunday, the Everyday Gospel Christmas Devotional by Paul David Tripp will be available for your family. This advent devotional includes twenty-five readings designed to help you connect Scripture’s transforming power to your daily life. May each day’s reading bring you and your family closer to Jesus as you look forward to Christmas Day. Donations for the book will be accepted to support the Fuel Youth Group’s Winter Retreat.

To give our faithful Children’s Ministry workers a much-deserved respite, there will not be Nursery or Children’s Church on Sundays December 28 and January 4. Busy bags will be available in the foyer for your children to use quietly in the sanctuary during the worship service. For parents with infants and younger toddlers, the Baby Care Room (across from the sanctuary) will be open with the worship service streaming on the monitor in that room. BIBLE STUDY WORKSHOP
CrossView Church will host a one-day Bible study workshop on Saturday, January 24, 2026 presented by Word Partners. In it we will learn eight practical, transferable Bible study principles that will greatly help us understand our Bibles. This workshop is meant for all who want to know better how to study the Bible.
