9:00-9:45 ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL--“The Book of Acts”
The New Testament book of Acts. Acts records the early church development from the time of Jesus resurrection, and ascension 33 AD, to Paul’s imprisonment in Rome circa 67 AD. We will compare and contrast early church structure and ministry with today’s church. We will also focus on the responsibilities left us by the early church leaders as well as taught doctrines central to our faith. Class begins at 9:00 am and all adults are welcome. The study will progress chapter by chapter through the entire book. The instructor will provide attendees a study sheet of insights and questions from which the study will be guided

Join with others in the Prayer Room (located in Room A2 in the foyer) every Sunday morning 15 minutes before the worship service for a time of corporate prayer.

Saturday, June 1
Bread of Life is the CVC food ministry looking to help those in need of supplementation to monthly groceries.  Once a month we gather food from our partners, Faith Acres and the Northern Illinois Food Bank, for distribution at CrossView Church. We are currently taking appointment times for those who could benefit from this ministry.  If you or anyone you know could use a helping hand, please call Cathy Leighliter at 847-973-0934 to make an appointment.  Deadline to sign up for the next shopping day is Saturday, May 25.

Tuesdays beginning May 7 ~ 9:00 – 11:00 am ~ Meeting Room 1
Inviting all women! Join in on any week/weeks that you can for this special 6-week Bible Study for Women: ‘Women of the Bible’. Fellowship with other women and learn what God has for us as we study these women that he chose to include in his Word in order to help us become complete and equipped for every good work (2 Timothy 3:16). Read the reference for that week and we’ll answer discussion questions for each study.

No childcare available.

Tuesday, May 28
Would you like to see some real idols of Baal and other bad guys? Would you like to see the annals and prism of the Assyrian King Sennacherib who lost 185,000 men attempting to conquer Judah?

Then join Pastor David Lovi as your guide to visit the Oriental Institute at the University of Chicago. We will carpool together to Chicago. The last car will leave the church at 9:30am. Suggested donation to the Institute is $0-$10. Pack a lunch to eat on the way. For more info, please talk to Pastor David or contact Gene Kuntz at 847-603-1660.

Next Sunday, June 2 ~ 6:00-7:00pm
It is the desire of our church that we become People of Prayer, seeking God’s will in all we do, and thanking him for everything we receive.  One opportunity for this is provided by having a corporate Prayer Meeting the 1st Sunday of each month. Join together as we share our physical and spiritual needs with one another, to bear each other’s burdens, and to cast all our cares upon our caring Heavenly Father. We will also spend time praying for our church and for the Church around the world.

The New CVC Café is looking for a few friendly faces who can serve attenders and guests beverages and snacks with a smile. If you enjoy greeting and serving others, consider joining our team. Café volunteers would serve before and after the worship service on a rotating basis once or twice a month.

Thank you so much to everyone who has contributed recipes so far. We have 100+ recipes and counting. What a blessing! We would love to have your name and memory/recipe in our cookbook to commemorate CrossView’s 60th Anniversary! Our goal is to have the books printed and available by fall. The final deadline to submit recipes/memories online or to the church office is Sunday, June 2. Recipe Inclusion Forms are available at the Welcome Center. Or, if you’re feeling tech savvy, submit your recipes online! Go to www.Typensave.com; User Name: CVC; Password: chef.

A mail sorter cabinet has been placed in the new coat room in the foyer. This is used as the ‘CVC Family and Ministry Mailboxes’. The church office will use this as a means to leave information as needed for CVC attendees to pick up from there. Mail bins are alphabetized and info will be placed in the bin that corresponds to the first letter of the person’s last name. Feel free to use this form of communication if you need to leave info for another person or ministry. Also, a lost and found bin has been placed in the foyer coat room. Please check here for any lost items (i.e. Bibles, coffee mugs, hats, gloves, scarves, etc.) Items not picked up within 6-8 weeks may be donated to a local charity. Any questions, please contact the church office.

The mission of the Meals Ministry is to provide complete meals for those who attend CrossView Church after surgeries, illnesses, accidents, new births, or family losses. CVC families prepare and deliver hot meals to the family in need at no cost to the church. The goal is to meet the family's needs for meals while connecting them with Christians from our church during their time of transition or crisis. If you are in need or if you know someone that is, or if you can occasionally make a meal for someone in our church family, please contact the church office.

The CVC E-Prayer Chain is a ministry that serves others through the power of prayer. Prayer requests that come into the Church Office are, upon approval, released to a group of faithful servants via e-mail. This group of individuals is committed to praying for the requests that come in on a daily basis. These requests range from health concerns, relationships, spiritual issues, financial concerns, etc. for CVC attenders and families, and their broader network (neighbors, co-workers, relatives, etc.) If you would like to serve as an intercessor for your brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus by having your name and email address added to our E-Prayer Chain, please contact the Church Office by phone (847-395-4117) or email at info@crossviewonline.org.

The 2nd Sunday of each month has been designated as ‘Baptism Sunday.’ If you have questions or are considering taking this next important step in your faith, please call the church office to make an appointment to meet with Pastor David or indicate your interest to be baptized on a Welcome Card and place in the offering plate.

If you have been considering becoming a member of CrossView Church, please contact the church office for an application which explains the process for becoming a member or you may contact Pastor David or an Elder with any questions.
