The remodeling of the church sanctuary finished! Out of reverence and in order to keep our newly remodeled sanctuary clean, beautiful, and inviting, we ask that all would please refrain from bringing food and drinks (except for bottled water) into the sanctuary. You are welcome to finish drinking a beverage and eating a snack in the CVC café area before the worship service begins. Coffee and snacks will again be served in the café after the service.

as God in Christ forgave you.”

November 15 (3rd Fridays of each month) 5:00-6:30 p.m.
CVC’s Bread of Life Share Center has partnered with the Northern Illinois Food Bank to distribute groceries at CVC to people in need of assistance. Food is distributed at no charge on a ‘first come, first served’ basis. Please bring ID. One registrant per address/household. Please spread the information about this ministry to your family, friends, and co-workers in need!

Additional volunteers are needed to help our guests “shop” on the 1st Saturday (mornings) and/or 3rd Friday (late afternoons until 7 p.m.) of each month. More men are also needed to help take down and move tables, etc. The work is not hard. If you would like to volunteer, please call Cathy Leighliter at 847-973-0934.

Also, it’s time to replenish the supply of plastic shopping bags that are used for the Share Center. Please bring in extra bags you may have and place in the coat room in the foyer. (Please limit your donation to twice.) God bless you for your help!

Sunday, November 24
The CVC FUEL Youth Group will be having a bake sale in the cafe before and after the worship service. The proceeds of the sale will go towards funding their winter retreat to Camp Silver Birch Ranch in White Lake, WI in February 2020.

Chain of Lakes Community Bible Church in Lake Villa is a host church for the PADS homeless ministry (Providing Advocacy, Dignity, and Shelter) that offers overnight shelter to men in need on Monday nights (Oct-April). Volunteers are needed for one 4-hour shift a month. A heart for service, a compassionate spirit, and the gift of hospitality are the required skills.  For more information, please contact John Whittington at 309-846-2145.

As a reminder, CVC has a mail sorter cabinet located in the coat room in the foyer. The church office uses this as a means to leave information as needed for CVC attenders to pick up from there. Individual mail bins are alphabetized and info is placed in the bin that corresponds to the first letter of the person’s last name. Feel free to use this form of communication if you need to leave info for the church office or for another person. (The mail bin for the church office is located on the bottom right of the cabinet.) Be sure to check your bin occasionally in case something has been left for you!  Also, there is a lost and found basket in the foyer coat room. Please check here for any lost items. Questions? Please contact the church office.

The 2nd Sunday of each month has been designated as ‘Baptism Sunday.’ If you have questions or are considering taking this next important step in your faith, please call the church office to make an appointment to meet with Pastor David or indicate your interest to be baptized on a Welcome Card and place in the offering plate.

If you have been considering becoming a member of CrossView Church, please contact the church office for an application which explains the process for becoming a member or you may contact Pastor David or an Elder with any questions.
