LADIES BIBLE STUDY
Tuesdays beginning Sept. 10, 2019 ~ 9:00am - 11:00am
Ladies, mark your calendars! LBS begins a new Bible study in the Book of Acts. This study will utilize the MacArthur Bible Studies guide where John MacArthur takes readers through the book of Acts, exploring how the early believers relied on God’s spirit for direction as they sought to fulfill Jesus’ commission to spread the message of the gospel to the entire world. The MacArthur Bible
Studies provide intriguing examinations of the whole of Scripture. Each guide incorporates extensive commentary, detailed observations on overriding themes, and probing questions to help you study the Word of God. Cost of study guide is $6.00. A sign up sheet is located in the foyer on the ledge by the Welcome Center.
BABY AND CHILD DEDICATION
Would you like to take the step of faith to dedicate your child(ren) to the Lord before the congregation? We will have an opportunity for this on Sunday, September 22. Before the actual dedication ceremony, it is crucial that parents understand the meaning of dedication. Therefore, there will be two opportunities for parents to attend a one-session class either on Wednesday, August 21 or Monday, September 16. If you are interested in dedicating your child(ren) or would like more information, please see or contact James or Cozette (firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com).
TRUNK OR TREAT at CVC
Thursday, Oct. 31 ~ 4:00-7:00pm
Decorate your trunks and bring the whole family to this fun opportunity to serve the families in our community! Trunk or Treat is a fun and safe way to provide families an alternative to trick or treating door to door. At Trunk or Treat costumed children will walk through our parking lot, stopping at each car and receive candy. You may decorate your car and dress up if you choose to. (You can still participate if you choose not to dress up or decorate.) Every car is responsible for their own candy to hand out. Come and join us when you can after work. There will also be a food truck where everyone is encouraged to grab a bite to eat! For more information and to sign up contact Steve or Eileen Clark (firstname.lastname@example.org).
A CONVENIENT WAY TO PROVIDE YOUR OFFERINGS TO CROSSVIEW CHURCH
A growing number of members are using automated withdrawal from their bank to make their offerings to CrossView Church. If you would like the convenience of having CVC’s Financial Secretary, Diane Lorenzini, set up the automated withdrawal system on a regular basis, contact her (email@example.com) or Adrian Spronk (firstname.lastname@example.org) to receive the necessary information and forms.
The 2nd Sunday of each month has been designated as ‘Baptism Sunday.’ If you have questions or are considering taking this next important step in your faith, please call the church office to make an appointment to meet with Pastor David or indicate your interest to be baptized on a Welcome Card and place in the offering plate.
If you have been considering becoming a member of CrossView Church, please contact the church office for an application which explains the process for becoming a member or you may contact Pastor David or an Elder with any questions.
