The Treasure in a Clay Pot

The_Treasure_in_a_Clay_Pot_SERMON_TITLE-min

This Sunday, Pastor James will be preaching a special message from 2 Corinthians 4:7 entitled, “The Treasure in a Clay Pot.”

In this message Pastor James will tell a bit of his personal story to demonstrate and celebrate the fact that God uses average people for his good gospel purposes. We will be encouraged as a church to look at the great treasure of the gospel of Jesus and trust that God can and will use us individually and collectively to live out his purposes for the glory of God, the good of the world, and the strengthening of the church.

The Worship Service begins at 10AM and masks are required. More info about our church service in this day of COVID, can be found on the CVC Restart Plan page.

This sermon message will be available to view by Sunday afternoon on the church Vimeo page for those who are unable to join us in person. It will be posted to the Church website on Monday.

FOCUSING ON THE LORD

“Oh! it is a great blessing to be put through the fire, if you come out purified. It is a sweet mercy to have to go through the floods, if some filthiness may thereby be removed. The children of Israel went down to Egypt to sojourn there, but after hard servitude and cruel oppression they came up out of it with silver and gold, much enriched by their bondage.” Spurgeon

sweet mercy
