(and why is it happening?)
The Bible uses the word Church in two ways. One is a building, a place, the collective gathering of God's people, as in "we're going to Church today".
The other use of the word Church is the more common term in the Bible, and it comes from the Greek word ekklesia, which means "the called out ones". It refers to people; people who have been called out of their past, their sin, their confusion, and called into a new, forgiven, clear relationship with God Himself, and with others who are part of the family of faith.
The building called Church does not have to do anything to be called a Church.
The people called Church must do something to be called the Church, a community of people practicing a common faith.
If nothing was happening at CrossView Church there might be a building, but it would not be a biblical church.
