THE PERSECUTED CHURCH – HOW TO PRAY
Zhafar Bhatti, who was arrested and charged with blasphemy in July 2012, remains in prison, where he has been beaten several times. Zhafar, a traveling salesman for various medications, often used his door-to-door presentations to also share the gospel. He established a small NGO called “Jesus World Mission” with the purpose of helping the poor. On July 11, 2012, he was accused by a fellow NGO worker of sending blasphemous text messages from a mobile phone that she had given him. Zhafar and his wife left their village to avoid a riot, and police arrested him on July 26, charging him under Pakistan’s blasphemy laws. Other prisoners have beaten Zhafar several times and tried to poison his food, and Muslim prisoners continually pressure him to embrace Islam. Pray that Zhafar will remain strong in his faith, and pray that he will be released and reunited with his family soon. For more information go to http://www.icommittopray.com

 CROSSVIEW CHURCH E-PRAYER CHAIN

The CVC E-Prayer Chain is a ministry that serves others through the power of prayer. Prayer requests that come into the Church Office are, upon approval, released to a group of faithful servants via e-mail. This group of individuals is committed to praying for the requests that come in on a daily basis. These requests range from health concerns, relationships, spiritual issues, financial concerns, etc. for CVC attenders and families, and their broader network (neighbors, co-workers, relatives, etc.) If you would like to serve as an intercessor for your brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus by having your name and email address added to our E-Prayer Chain, please contact the Church Office by phone (847-395-4117) or email at info@crossviewonline.org.

 BAPTISM SUNDAY

The 2nd Sunday of each month has been designated as ‘Baptism Sunday.’ If you have questions or are considering taking this next important step in your faith, please call the church office to make an appointment to meet with Pastor David or indicate your interest to be baptized on a Welcome Card and place in the offering plate.

 CVC MEMBERSHIP

If you have been considering becoming a member of CrossView Church, please contact the church office for an application which explains the process for becoming a member or you may contact Pastor David or an Elder with any questions.
