KLEENEX FOR AUGS
CrossView Church has been given another wonderful opportunity to continue its ministry to the students and faculty at Antioch Upper Grade School (AUGS). During this cold and flu season AUGS students are in need of Kleenex. Drop off in the church foyer this Sunday, Feb 25. Each box that you donate will be greatly appreciated! Also, the next time you use a Kleenex, please be mindful to pray for these precious children whose bodies and souls could benefit greatly from answered prayer graciously offered on their behalf. Thank you!
IT’S TIME TO UPDATE THE CHURCH PHOTO DIRECTORY
Sundays, March 4 and 18
Do you know all your fellow CrossView Church attenders by name? Would you like to be able to put a name to a face? We will be taking individual/family photos before and after the worship service and you will be able to verify/submit your contact information on Sundays, March 4 and 18. Our photo directory will showcase our families, provide contact information, and become a useful resource to keep us connected. Our directory won’t be complete without you. Please make plans to participate!
SPECIAL MISSIONARY POTLUCK

Exciting news! Our CVC supported missionary, Margaret Fischer, will be married to Joshua Andrus on Sunday, April 15 in Minneapolis, MN. Please join Margaret in celebration of her marriage at the Special Missionary Potluck after the worship service on March 18. All are invited! (Please bring a favorite entrée, side dish, or dessert to share.) Anyone wishing to contribute towards a group gift, please contact Sharon Bock at email@example.com or 224-656-7018.
Sunday, March 4 ~ 6:00-7:00pm
It is the desire of our church that we become People of Prayer, seeking God’s will in all we do, and thanking him for everything we receive. One opportunity for this is provided by having a corporate Prayer Meeting the 1st Sunday of each month. Join together as we share our physical and spiritual needs with one another, to bear each other’s burdens, and to cast all our cares upon our caring Heavenly Father. We will also spend time praying for our church and for the Church around the world.
A CONVENIENT WAY TO PROVIDE YOUR OFFERINGS TO CVC
A growing number of members are using automated withdrawal from their bank to make their offerings to CrossView Church. If you would like the convenience of having Diane Lorenzini , CVC Financial Secretary, set up the automated withdrawal system on a regular basis, contact her (firstname.lastname@example.org, 847-395-1244) or Adrian Spronk (email@example.com, 847-356-1621), to receive the necessary information and forms.
You may have heard that Facebook is going to show less from business pages and more from our friends and family. This means we will see less from pages whose updates we actually want to see. The new algorithm has been known to reduce interaction by 95%. Out of the almost 250 followers of the CVC page, only 30-some people are actually receiving the CrossView posts. So if you want to continue to receive news from the CVC FB page in your newsfeed, there are two things you can do:
- Go to the CVC page and make sure you have "Following" checked. That's the basic to step to be seeing our posts at all. But also, it may be helpful to select "See First" under following.
- Comment, like, and share. The more you do this, the more Facebook sees us as a "legitimate" page and the less likely we will be buried in invisibility with their new algorithms.
CROSSVIEW CHURCH E-PRAYER CHAIN
The CVC E-Prayer Chain is a ministry that serves others through the power of prayer. Prayer requests that come into the Church Office are, upon approval, released to a group of faithful servants via e-mail. This group of individuals is committed to praying for the requests that come in on a daily basis. These requests range from health concerns, relationships, spiritual issues, financial concerns, etc. for CVC attenders and families, and their broader network (neighbors, co-workers, relatives, etc.) If you would like to serve as an intercessor for your brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus by having your name and email address added to our E-Prayer Chain, please contact the Church Office by phone (847-395-4117) or email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The 2nd Sunday of each month has been designated as ‘Baptism Sunday.’ If you have questions or are considering taking this next important step in your faith, please call the church office to make an appointment to meet with Pastor David or indicate your interest to be baptized on a Welcome Card and place in the offering plate.
If you have been considering becoming a member of CrossView Church, please contact the church office for an application which explains the process for becoming a member or you may contact Pastor David or an Elder with any questions.
