Sunday EXPERIMENT 2011

What is it? Beginning Sunday September 11, and tentatively running through October 30, there will be a Christian Ed / Sunday School time from 8:45 to 10:00am and then an Intergenerational Worship service at 10:15am, ending by 11:30am at the latest.

Why are we doing the Sunday EXPERIMENT 2011?

To come together as a church family for intergenerational Worship, and to raise the bar on the essential value of solid Christian Education for all ages, are significant steps in changing the CrossView culture to all God would have for us to be.

What we learned through much prayer, weekly observation and input from the summertime one-service fellowship and Worship time, and talks with Ministry Leaders, was that an Intergenerational Worship Experience was appreciated and desired to continue. Alongside of this is a desire to ramp-up the availability and quality of our Christian Education options for all ages.

So, a short term Experiment, not necessarily a permanent shift, would allow everyone opportunity to experience for themselves, and then comment out of that experience, so the broadest communication could occur. We applied what was learned through the Discovery Process, TAG Consultant workshops, Transition Team learnings, and input from Ministry Leaders.
